| Kathak |
Kathak is the north Indian style of classical dance, characterized by intricate patterns of footwork, forceful pirouettes and subtle expressions danced under the weight of more than 100 ankle bells with the dramatic representation
of themes from Persian and Urdu poetry alongside
those of Hindu mythology.
Kathak is a dance-style where the art of story telling is
personified. This form entails the Nav-Rasas, or nine emotions, tatkar, pirouettes or chakkars, tukdas, paran, bhaav and thunderstorms of footwork. The Lucknow gharana style is followed. A beautiful traditional dance which is taught along with its accompaniment tabla, lehera and ghungroos.

| Bharata Natyam |
Bharata Natyam is one of the oldest dance forms of India. Bharatanatyam
comes from the words Bhava (Expression), Raga (Music), Tala (Rhythm) and
Natya (Classic Indian Musical Theatre). Today, it is one of the most popular
and widely performed dance styles and is practiced by many dancers all over
the world. Due to its wide range of movements and postures and the balanced
melange of the rhythmic and mimetic aspects it blends well to experimental
and fusion choreography.
At Krshala children will be taken through a structured course conducted in
a systematic manner in Bharatnatyam covering the various aspects entailing
this dance form. Krshala has Foundation, Diploma, Degree and Post Graduate
courses covering the practice and theory of Bharata Natyam.
